Edmond Lim’s distinguished career path spans the IT and financial sectors. He has over 10 years of IT sales and marketing experience with multinationals like IBM, Compaq and Oracle and was an Executive Director of a second board PLC, before he was crippled by a massive stroke in 1997. During his recovery journey, he ventured into entrepreneurship. Today, he is the proud owner of AceGem Group of Companies – specialists in serving the IT and banking sector. Its services cover manpower search and placement, consultancy, software development and hardware/software integration.

Besides having wide industry and business connections, he also has an extensive knowledge of IT ranging from PC Desktop and Servers, Mini Computers, Software Development Tools to Industry Applications, Databases and Network Solutions.

His massive stroke at the age of 33 caused a major upheaval in his life. After bemoaning his ill fate he realised that he was fortunate to have a second chance and stoically rebuilt his life and career, leaving no stones unturned.

Today, he sits on the board of NASAM determined to share his experiences about stroke recovery and assist other stroke survivors to rebuild their lives.
