Margaret Low
Margaret Low began her career in leading multinationals in the advertising and media industry. During her 46 years, she has received numerous recognitions, one of the highest accolades being The Lifetime Achievement award from the Malaysian Media Congress. She was the first recipient of this award.
Her impressive contributions to the industry included the setting up of Malaysia’s first media specialist agency in 1992. This was later bought over by Aegis PLC and rebranded as Carat Media Services. She went on to lead the Aegis group in the country and later became Executive Chairman and CEO of the Dentsu Aegis Network in Malaysia.
During the span of her brilliant career, she was committed to elevating the standards of advertising and media professionalism in the country. She actively gave talks and lectures. She was chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations and sat on the council of 4As and the Advertising Standards Authority. She initiated the Media Specialist Association in Malaysia (MSA) and the Malaysian Media Awards to give media professionals a forum to discuss and improve their playing field and to strive for greater excellence. She was the first President of MSA.
Having retired from the industry, she now dedicates her time to community services. She serves actively in church and is also charitable with her time to help those who are recovering from a stroke.
