Yap Yoke Fui is a seasoned professional with a strong background in accountancy and property development. She completed her higher education with a major in accountancy from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Early in her career, Yap worked as an accountant in various industries, including advertising, before transitioning into construction and property development in 1984. She played a key role in expanding her family business, overseeing the development of residential and commercial properties both in Malaysia and overseas.
Beyond her professional success, Yap has always had a strong passion for community service. From a young age, she was actively involved in organisations such as Befrienders, Kiwanis, and Shelter, which sparked her lifelong commitment to social causes. This focus on community welfare continued as she became involved with the BeCause Community Care Society and the National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM), where she has been an invaluable member of the NASAM Board.
Yap’s business expertise and passion for service converge in her work with NASAM. As a board member, she brings a wealth of experience in management and fundraising, contributing to NASAM’s mission of supporting stroke survivors and their families. Her dedication to the cause extends beyond her role on the board; she is actively involved in organising events and raising funds for NASAM’s rehabilitation programs.
