Holding a law degree from the University of Singapore, she was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1973. Throughout her career, Betty has earned a reputation as a highly skilled lawyer, specializing in various aspects of law, including trademark law and notarial services.

Currently, Betty serves as a Senior Consultant at a prominent legal firm in Kuala Lumpur, where she continues to provide expert legal counsel. In addition to her consulting role, she is a Registered Trademark Agent and a Notary Public, offering essential services such as trademark registration and legal document authentication. Her extensive experience and expertise in these areas have made her a trusted professional within the legal community.

Betty’s commitment to public service is reflected in her involvement with the Kuala Lumpur Legal Aid Bureau and the Bar Council Disciplinary Board. She has dedicated much of her career to ensuring access to justice for underprivileged individuals and upholding ethical standards within the legal profession.

Betty has been a member of the National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM) Board since 1998, serving as the organization’s Legal Adviser. In this capacity, she provides crucial legal guidance, helping NASAM navigate regulatory and compliance matters. Beyond her legal role, Betty is an active volunteer and fundraiser for NASAM, dedicating her time and resources to supporting stroke survivors and raising awareness about stroke prevention and rehabilitation.
