On 26th October 2024, the lively Hutan Bandar Mutiara Rini served as the backdrop for the Health Walk 2024, a powerful gathering aimed at raising awareness for stroke prevention and rehabilitation. The event, themed #GreaterThanStroke in conjunction with World Stroke Day, combined physical activity, community engagement, and health advocacy to support stroke survivors and their families.
Participants enjoyed a refreshing walk through the park while raising funds to support NASAM Johor’s vital programs, including rehabilitation services for stroke survivors. In addition to the walk, attendees received complimentary eye screenings courtesy of the Rotary Club of Pasir Gudang Eye Foundation, offering valuable early detection of vision issues.
The event also featured a vibrant Morning Snacks & Fun Fair, packed with games, activities, and local vendors offering delicious treats. Families enjoyed a fun-filled day while learning more about NASAM Johor’s mission and connecting with local sponsors.
The success of the event was made possible by the generous support of many sponsors, including Angels Initiative, ABC Bak Ku Teh, Ez Roam, NewsSearch S/B, Power Up, Qin TCM Acumedic Centre, Seng Xiang Electrical & Steel, Regency Specialist Hospital, YiJia Theme Banquet Hall, TechCare and many others. Their contributions played a vital role in raising awareness and funds, ensuring the continuation of NASAM Johor’s rehabilitation programs and promoting a deeper understanding of stroke prevention and recovery.
NASAM Johor extends heartfelt thanks to all participants, volunteers, and sponsors for making this event a success. The funds raised will go towards enhancing NASAM Johor’s services, improving the quality of life for those in need. For more updates, visit their Facebook page.
